French Roulette, like European Roulette, has only one zero. The presence of one zero helps to increase the odds of winning in the player’s favour. The gameplay of this game is the same as the gameplay for normal roulette. There are just some additional features in French Roulette.
The objective of this game is to place your bet on a number that would be selected by the wheel. There are two betting areas, the inside, and the outside betting area. The inside betting area has the numbers from 0 to 36. The outside betting area has broad categories on which players can place their bets. The categories include red/black, 1 to 18, 19 to 36 and odd/even.
French Roulette has additional layouts which make it unique. These layouts are known as the French bets. One of such layouts is the “Jeu 0” which allows you to place bets on the zero and numbers that are near it.
There is a special rule in this game known as the En Prison rule. Under this rule, if you place an even bet and the wheel turns in a zero, your bet is not lost but it is imprisoned. If you win the next spin, your money would be returned to you. Another similar rule is the La Partage rule. Under this rule, for an even bet and a zero in spin results, the half of your bet is lost.
